Chipping Ongar is a market town in the heart of Essex, with close road links to Chelmsford, Harlow and Brentwood. The school has been on its present site since 1968 with the Key Stage One building added in 1984. The school is situated on the outskirts of Ongar and serves children from the town and local area.

The school is surrounded by beautiful countryside and the school itself is set in plenty of space of its own, with 3 large playgrounds, sports fields, allotments, orchard and nature trail.
