We offer an inclusive school where each individual child is encouraged to achieve their full potential in all aspects of education. We support any child who is finding work difficult as well as push boundaries forward for children who are excelling in any aspects of their work. We are committed to the belief that pupils with disabilities are assisted in accessing the curriculum and have a robust equal opportunities policy to ensure that all children’s needs are met and opportunities provide for all children to reach their potential.
We aim to identify children who are experiencing difficulties with any aspects of their school work as early as possible. Parents are kept regularly informed of our concerns and individual programmes of study are planned and implemented to address each child’s specific needs. These are integrated into classroom work giving children support without damaging their self esteem. The School provides an environment to ensure involvement of parent and children in the planning. The School adopts the Essex One Plan and Education Care Plan to support children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.
